PERSEUS Co., Ltd.
START YOUR SDV WITH THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
Perseus specializes in automotive hypervisors — the foundational software of SDV. Founded by the creator of Secure Xen ARM (2007), the world's first embedded ARM hypervisor, Perseus leads with 18+ years of original IP. As vehicles consolidate onto shared hardware, software beneath the OS is the most critical design decision. PEGASUS enables multi-OS virtualization on a single SoC, cutting ECU count and BOM cost. AEGIS isolates safety-critical functions below the OS. TACHYON cuts Linux boot to under 1.5 sec. Perseus delivers certified, production-ready SDV software via a global partner network.
Products & Services
PEGASUS Hypervisor
The perfect virtualization solution for the SDV era
PEGASUS will be the technology that opens the door to the SDV era: "From CPU To MCU For Wider In-vehicle E/E System Coverage of SDV".
PEGASUS operates a systematic software development process based on A-SPICE certification and has also obtained ISO 26262 ASIL-D level certification for automotive functional safety, thereby delivering the highest level of quality and safety required for vehicle systems.
TACHYON Linux Fast Boot
Fast booting solution with no waiting time
Generally, booting Linux takes at least 15 seconds, which can cause significant inconvenience for users.
TACHYON, however, completes the entire boot process in under 2 seconds, allowing users to quickly access the apps they need.
NVIDIA Thor SoC-Based Hypervisor Solution
This demo showcases PEGASUS, Perseus’ automotive hypervisor, running five virtual machines simultaneously on a single NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor board.
One L4T Linux GUI VM and four Linux CLI VMs operate independently. Visitors can verify the stable operation of each VM on the actual hardware through the GUI and terminal displays showing network and process activity. The platform can also be extended to support Android and other Linux-based operating systems.

What Is an SDV? How Software Is Transforming Cars | Automotive Hypervisor Technology
What is a Software-Defined Vehicle, and how is software transforming the automotive industry? As vehicles evolve into “smartphones on wheels,” new features and services can be added through software updates. However, increasing system complexity and connectivity also create greater risks of system failures and cyberattacks. In this interview on SBS Biz’s “Oh! Good Day,” Dr. Sang-bum Suh, CEO of Perseus, explains the concept of the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV), the transformation of the automotive industry, and the role of automotive hypervisor technology. An automotive hypervisor enables multiple operating systems to run virtually on a single high-performance computing chip. This helps simplify vehicle hardware architecture and makes system safety, security, and control easier to manage. The interview also covers ISO 26262 automotive functional safety, the importance of ASIL-D, and the potential expansion of software-defined technologies into robotics, heavy equipment, defense, and other industries.
Perseus Introduction
Perseus is the only company offering "true real-time" hypervisor security based on its proprietary algorithm protocol. With over a decade of research and development led by executives from Cambridge University, Secure Xen ARM, and Samsung Electronics, Perseus simplifies in-vehicle hardware and software infrastructure, streamlines the implementation and management of connected vehicle services, and provides an exclusive hypervisor-based solution that maximizes security and performance.
Perseus PEGASUS Hypervisor Software Demo
This working demo video shows that 6 Operating System(OS) are running concurrently on the PEGASUS Hypervisor software on top of an embedded Arm Cortex-R52 MCU hardware board. Allocation of the underlying hardware resources per each OS and the configuration of virtual machines(VM) are easily done dynamically by the PEGASUS. Start/ Stop operation of each VM and allocation of number of virtual processors to each VM are shown. App running on OS is from the game of life algorithm. Caption to describe demo is provided at the bottom of the video.
