The JASA Digital Twin Research WG views shop-floor digital twins in three stages: visualization, AI-driven understanding, and Physical AI-driven transformation. Based on this view, the WG has drawn up a roadmap toward social implementation. As the first stage, the WG is conducting field trials that reconstruct shop-floor spaces with 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), recognize real-world objects, and overlay them onto the digital space. This talk proposes a path toward Physical AI and introduces specific initiatives toward social implementation.
